After serving four years in the air force, Robert Bourque and his wife Sandra settled in Fort Myers, Florida in 1973. With his training in electronics and radio maintenance, Bob decided to pursue a career as an electrician. After three years of hard work as an apprentice and journeyman and finally a master electrician, Bob opened Sun Electric Service in 1976.

In 33 years of electrical contracting, Sun Electric has been involved in most aspects of the electrical industry including commercial, residential, and service. We are proud to have been involved in a variety of projects including condos, apartments, restaurants, marinas, RV parks, remodeling, and more in Lee County and surrounding areas. We also provide service for property management companies.
